NY Cannabis Insider: Bringing QR codes to NY’s cannabis market: A Q&A with Lucid Green’s Jake Haworth

July 15, 2022 - Under the MRTA’s labeling and packaging section, labels placed on cannabis products must show the benefit or impact of consuming the product, the origin of where it was manufactured, and its dosage. Companies may choose to put this information in a QR code, and Brooklyn-based Lucid Green is doing just that.

Lucid Green’s “LucidID” is a QR code that helps track products through various stages, from the cultivator to retailer, and can be embedded in a company’s label design. Apart from making supply management easier, the code also helps consumers by providing them with product information and increases business through loyalty programs, said Jake Haworth, SVP of Lucid Green operations.
